Biofungicide AGAT-25K is created on the basis of bacteria Pseudomonas aureofaciens and the byproducts of their metabolism. This preparation includes the following ingredients: bioliqiud of inactivated Pseudomonas auerofaciens, balanced initial dosages of macroelements (N, P, K) and microelements (B, Cu, Fe, Mo, Mn, Mg, S, Cl, Ni, I, Se, Co, Na), bioactive sprout substances, flavonoids and active fractions of coniferous extracts. Successful combination of such components presupposes a wide spectrum of application.

Preparation and Usage

Concentrated product (paste) is dissolved in a small quantity of water until a homogenous solution is received. This solution is added to water to make a remedy of a necessary concentration. In order to intensify the effect of the solution a thickener must be added (skimmed milk) 5% to the whole capacity of the solution. The treated seeds, tubers and seedlings are sown and planted immediately into the soil. Unused treated seeds can be stored in a cool place for 15 days and sown unless this period is over. Vegetating plants are treated in the morning, in the evening or during the day on a cloudy weather. Prepared solutions of the combined remedies are applied immediately after preparation.
Caution
While working with AGAT, general precaution measures and personal hygiene rules must be followed. Special measures on clothes and containers are not required. The containers are utilized with garbage.
Storage
The preparation is stored in a dark, dry and cool place. Warranty of fitness is 1,5 years at 20C - +15C in factory packaging.

Pre-sowing treatment of seeds with AGAT is provided when the level of the externally infected seeds does not exceed 30%. In case of internal infection the level should not exceed 100 chlamydo-spores per seed or 0,3%. In case the level is exceeded the seeds must be treated with a mixed solution of AGAT-25K and a ? dose of effective chemical exterminating preparation.

APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY OF AGAT-25K IN GREENHOUSE CONDITIONS

Currently, producers of greenhouse vegetables confront problems of income decrease and increasing expenses on energy, fertilizers, plant protection means etc. In traditional technologies aggressive chemical plant protection methods still prevail. Standard fungicides have basically negative influence on plants slowing down growth and development of plants. Biological fungicides not only fight the diseases but also stimulate growth, making a system of integrated protection. One of the ways of solving the above-mentioned problems is to increase productivity of cereals and crops by means of biological preparation AGAT-25K for ecological vegetable-growing.

Biofungicide AGAT-25K is developed on the basis of bacteria Pseudomonas aureofaciens and the byproducts of their metabolism. Ingredients: bioliqiud of inactivated bacteria, balanced initial dosages of macro- and microelements, bioactive sprout substances, natural flavonoids, active fractions of coniferous extracts. Successful combination of such components creates a wide spectrum of application and effectiveness of both protective and stimulating character.

The ingredients of the preparation gradually boost biochemical and metabolic processes at all stages of plants development. The preparation effectively influences the simultaneous growth and development of the root systems and the overground parts of plants. The greater effect of the remedy is seen at early stages of plants growth, mostly at seeds treatment. On the basis of scientific research and experiments the following technology forced tomatoes treatment has been developed:

Tomato seeds treatment

Prepared seeds are soaked in the effective AGAT-25K solution for 3 hours with following soft drying (7g of AGAT/ 1 l of water/ 1 kg of seeds, 10 ml of 0,7% solution/ 1000 seeds). The seeds should be friable enough for sowing.
Inlay method is used to apply AGAT-25K on the previously treated seeds (water solution of AGAT-25K with added thickener is applied on the surface of seeds). The effective solution (7g/100ml/1 kg of seeds) is sprayed to be evenly distributed on seeds that are regularly mixed to receive a better result.
Soaking of seeds in the AGAT-25K solution stimulated germinating capacity by 10-13% of the Mayeva tomatoes (Byelorussian Institute of Plants Protection, 2001).

Treatment of plants in the transplanting period

In order to accelerate growth of secondary roots, in some days after the thinning procedure, separately planted seedlings are to be watered with 100 ml of 0,007% AGAT-25K solution ( 70 g/1000 l of water) into each pot;

  • In order to cause quick growth of plants in greenhouses, they are to be watered with 100-150 ml of 0,007% AGAT-25K solution some days before transplanting;
  • In stressing situations in the seedlings growing period, it is necessary to provide extra-root treatment of the plants (0,01% AGAT-25K solution 30 g/300 l/ha).

Two-time watering with 0,007% AGAT-25K solution stimulates growth and biomass increase of seedlings and practically does not influence the height of plants. Intensive ovary formation resulted in productivity and increasing quantity of fruits by 20 % per plant. (T. Zhardetskaya, sort Raisa, (Byelorussian Institute of Plants Protection, 2001).

Treatment of plants in the vegetation period in greenhouses

  • extra-root treatment in the phase of buds formation and blossoming (0,01% solution);
  • root system treatment in 12-14 days after transplanting the seedlings in the greenhouse (to prepare the plants to first fruits 300 ml of effective solution per plant; 0,007% AGAT-25K, 70 g/1000 l of water).

The preparation has a 2-3 week effect, that is why next treatments must be provided once in two weeks according to the following schedule:

  • root watering, 0,007% solution, 300ml per plant;
  • extra-root watering in 15 days, 0,01% solution; root watering in 15 days etc.

In production conditions, systematic treatment of plants with the AGAT-25K solution resulted in corns productivity increase and strong prophylactic effect. For instance, Anabel tomatoes being treated according to the above-mentioned scheme, the level of infecting with bacteriosis has reduced almost twice. (Staro-Borisovo, Belarus, 2003)

AGAT-25K application is also effective for forced cucumbers. The most harmful for them are root moulds. The utmost protective effect is revealed through AGAT-25K usage at early stages of plants development. Seeds of tomatoes and cucumbers have the same scheme of treatment. The first watering with a 0,007% solution (norm is 3-4 l/m2) is delivered a week after sprouting. After transplanting the seedlings to the hothouse, a 0,007% solution of the preparation with norm of 200-300 ml per plant is put in the root area. The treatment is repeated 1-2 times a month depending on progress of infections. Lower part of stalks must be also applied with the preparation to protect plants from root moulds.

In order to prevent diseases of leaves, at first symptoms of the disease plants are sprayed with a 0,01% solution. In case the disease progresses it is recommended to spray the infected plants with a mixture of a full dose of AGAT-25K and a half-dose of an effective chemical fungicide.

Root treatment, watering and spraying are very effective methods of plant protection causing active growth of root hair and secondary roots with minimal development of infections. When the preparation is used in the mineral wool growing technologies, the effective solution must be used in last evening watering to prevent the preparation from getting into drainage.

An important advantage of AGAT-25K is its ecological capacity, i.e. it can be used in any period of vegetation. The preparation causes no addiction. It is necessary to note that AGAT-25K can be mixed with other pesticides making it possible to use it in mixtures and solutions for protection of plants from different diseases and pests. Experience shows that the best results are achieved through alternative application of AGAT-25K and fungicide PREVIKUR 607 SL every 7-14 days.

Taking into account the price of the preparation, the economic efficiency of the preparation is very high. On average, 1 invested hryvnia brings 10 hryvnias and more at the expense of plants productivity and direct stimulating effect.

Thus, this technology of AGAT-25K application allows to reduce negative effect of climate factors, stimulate growth and development of plants in stressful periods, secure prophylactic effect and protect plants from diseases during vegetation.
